About the Owner

Andrea McCarney, Irish dancerAndrea McCarney, TCRG, started dancing at the age of 3 and grew up taking tap and ballet.  She graduated from Sweet Briar College with a teaching certificate and a BA in dance.  While in college, she started taking Irish dance and it quickly became her passion.  Andrea has taught dance since 1998 and has received many awards for her choreography.  She is certified as a TCRG through WIDA.


Our Instructors and Assistants

Irish dancerMiss Miranda teaches our Beginner level classes, assists with the Celtic Treble company, and is currently an Open level dancer She has been training in Irish dance for 6 years and has competed twice at WIDA European and World Championships.  In addition to Irish dance, Miranda has trained in ballet, tap and jazz.  She is a graduate of Cosby High School and is attending John Tyler Community College.  Miss Miranda is currently studying for her grade exams and is working towards achieving her TCRG.


Irish dancerMiss Holland is an assistant in several of our classes and is currently an Open level dancer.  She has been training in Irish dance for 10 years. Holland placed 5th in the Under 21 Open Championship at the 2015 WIDA US Open. In addition to Irish dance, Holland trains in ballet and tap and is a member of the Dance program at Thomas Dale High School Specialty Center for the Visual and Performing Arts.

About our studio

Our studio is located at 14257 Midlothian Turnpike; Midlothian, VA 23113.  We are in the Ivymont Square Shopping Center (the big Krogers on Midlothian Turnpike also known as the shopping center with Candela's), about 1 mile east of Route 288.  Click here for directions!
